Tusday october 2018

Today for morning meeting we did ball toss and for the activity we did see whats different.
 After we did social study's and for that we did guess which region, state, and city it is.
Then we did math and for math we did rounding to the nearest  place value.
After we did writers work shop and for that we continued writing our small moments. Then we had lunch recess. Then we did Spanish. After we had buddies and we finished a pumpkin story with our 2nd grade buddies. Then we had Readers Workshop and Word Work. We met with Ms. Paige in our groups and sorted our spelling words.
Tomorrow is Halloween.  Wear your costume to school.



















































































 

Monday October 2018

For morning meeting we did make a hand shake greeting and sharing .
We went  to music and then we did math and for math we did more place value.
After we did writers work shop for writers work shop we did we did personal narative,  then we had lunch and  recess. After that Ms. Paige read the book Poppy to us. An we did readers work shop and T.C.O.B an art then recess.

We did an old person's greeting and then we shared. For Social Studies we learned about the five regions of the United States.  In math we did more rounding and estimation. For writers workshop we worked on our Jack the Pumpkin stories. The we had lunch and recess. After that we had Science. For science we had guppies and goldfish.  In readers workshop we read and worked on our classroom charter.  In Spanish we had a Spanish test (sadly). The we went home. Yay!

October 24 2018

Today we did for morning meeting  fist bump  and for the activity we did doggy doggy were's your bone.
Then for social study's we wrote down facts . For math we did rounding.
After that we did writers work shop, for writers work shop we did what jack the pumpkin will do next.
Then we had lunch and recess.
We had read aloud then Spanish. After we had word work test. Then we did readers work shop then we went to do bus buddies or pick up jobs. 

Friday October 19 2018

Today we made up a hand shake for our greeting in morning meeting and for the activity we had squirt and statues in the garden.
For social studies we finished up special purpose maps and checked it. We also voted for our student council and will find out on Monday who we have.
In math, we had place value.
In writing, we made a comic strip to go with our small moment.
In science we had aquatic environments. Then we had buddies and Spanish.
  

Thursday October,18 2018

For morning meeting we had fist bump greeting and we had sharing.

After we had math and continued learning about place value. In social study we learned about special-purpose maps. In writing we worked on the beginning, middle and end of our small moment and also talked about leads and then we had lunch recess.

After we had word work cheeking then we had speeches for student council  after we did readers work shop to finish writing our letters then T.C.O.B then we went home.
Our word work vocab test is on Wednesday.

In morning meeting we did pick a card for our greeting and for the game we did tick, tock, boom.

Next we went to music.

We did a respect day meeting about respect and things that we shouldn't do,after that we did writers work shop and math.In writing, we listened to a small moment story. In math we had place value. We have homework tonight. Then we had lunch and recess then we had read aloud. after we do readers work shop. We talked about character traits and started writing our letters to Ms. Paige and t.c.o.b.then we did art  then we left. Word work homework is due tomorrow. We will have a Spanish test on Oct. 25th. Reflections is due on Nov. 12 and the student council speeches are going to be tomorrow.

  

Friday October 12,2018

Today in S.S we learned about lines of latitude and longitude.  In writing we shared our writing with the other class.We had no math. We also had buddies today.We reviewed what we have to do for our word work homework.  And for readers workshop, we did silent reading and wrote letters to Ms. Paige about our books.

Thursday October 11 2018

In math, we did a sprint & more place value. And in writing we printed are story's.  In reading time, we did read aloud and silent reading and wrote letters to Ms. Paige.  In the morning,  We went to music and art in the afternoon.Goodbye!!!!!!

Wednesday October 10 2018

Today in math we finished our packet of dividing and multiplication and place value. Our homework for math is to finish Lesson 2 Exit ticket.  In readers work shop we read silently for a short time.  We had Mrs. Herbert in our classroom during a lot of readers workshop. In science we are doing isopod update.  In Writing we finished editing our stories. Then we had Media and PE.

October 9th 2018

Today in S.S, we did geographer study's,  in math we did more place value.In writing we edited are stories.  In science, we did  Isopod , and we did read aloud and silent reading. Goodbye!

In S.S we practiced  reading the comps rose on a map.  In math, we did place value.  In writing we finished are stories that will be published. In readers workshop, we started our reading log. We switched our seats today. Happy Monday goodbye

Today we had in math NWEA. In writing we  almost  finished typing or stories. Today we got our 2nd grade buddies, and we also did clay monster mugs in art. Then we had read aloud and readers work shop. Remember to buy the thing you  signed up to bring for the freaky fun fair and have a good weekend!Goodbye!!!

Today in readers workshop we did myon on  the laptops . In math we learned more about graphs and division. In writing we continued typing our stories. In science we had isopod observations. Then we had Media and PE.

In S.S. We learned about regions. in math we had a sub and we learned about graphs. In writing we started typing our stories today. In Science, we observed mealworms, beetles and isopods.  In reading, we talked about abandoning books. After, we had Spanish and then recess.

Today students have some homework to be completed.  In math, students continued to learn about place value.  They have lesson 1 homework to complete for tonight.  In Social Studies, we are beginning our map skills chapter.  They have to complete the birds eye view map of their house.  Since one class is not finished with the Social Studies test from last week, test will be passed back when all students have finished.  Students also have homework in Spanish, if they did not finish the work in class.  It was a busy day of work!!
